For sale is an unusual antique Pennsylvania folk art pin cushion in what I'm calling a stylized 8-point star shape, as it has 8 points, and is sort of similar in shape to the quilt pattern. It was part of the collection of Linda and Dennis Moyer. It is made 2 different early fabrics, a cinnamon pink print, and a brown and red print, bound with red yarn. It is firmly stuffed, but I'm not certain what it is filled with, perhaps sawdust. It measures about 7" in diameter, and 1 1/2" thick, and is in nice, but antique condition, with no holes or rips, but some brown staining around the perimeter of the cinnamon pink fabric, and also on the other side near a few of the points. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a unique addition to your collection of antique sewing items/pin cushions!
