For sale is a pair of antique 19th century primitive folk art curtain hold-backs/tie-backs that I found at an antique mall in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. They are hand cut of tin, and painted black with painted flowers on the front, completed in yellow, blue, red, white, and olive green. Since they are handmade, their dimensions are not quite the same, with one measuring about 7 1/2" long, and the other about 6" long. They are both about 3 7/8" wide at their widest point. The pair is in antique condition, with wear, minor rust, and a few bent areas. It should also be noted that the color on the flowers on the smaller piece has faded significantly, mainly on the yellow, blue, and white flowers. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What charming and unique way to keep your curtains in place!
