For sale is a charming late 19th to early 20th century Pennsylvania folk art silhouette of a young girl carrying a tray with a bottle on top. I found it on a recent trip to the east coast. The silhouette has been cut from black paper, and laid on paper which has added black and gray watercolor rolling hills, trees, and clouds. The picture is housed in an appropriate period black painted frame with a metal ring hanger at the top. It measures about 10 1/4" x 8 1/4" including the frame. Site measurements are about 7 5/8" x 5 5/8". This charming silhouette is in very nice antique condition with a bit of barely visible foxing minor water spots, and appropriate age-related wear to the frame. I believe that the glass has been replaced. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a sweet addition to your cottage primitive decor, or great addition to your collection of folk art silhouettes!
