For sale is a rather unusual antique, probably 19th century folk art eagle butter print that I acquired from a sale in Pennsylvania, and that was most likely made there as well. I own a couple of eagle butter prints, but the shield on this piece is the most distinctive that I seen, and the image is smaller than most with a more prominent border. It is also unusual because it doesn't have any kind of handle, and there is no evidence of there ever having been one. The print measures about 3 3/4" in diameter and 1" thick, and is in nice antique condition, with a warm patina, and a few chips around the perimeter, the kinds of things one would expect from an antique butter print. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a terrific addition to your butter print or eagle collection!
