For sale is an antique hand painted and stenciled folk art tin tray that I found at an outdoor market in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. I believe that it is Victorian, but it could have been made as late as the 1920's. It depicts a peacock with his tail feathers on full display, and a peahen admiring him. There is a classic style building nearby, along with a variety of vegetation. The perimeter of the tray has stenciled flowers, as well as hand painted striping. The tray is fairly large, measuring about 24" x 17 3/4", and is in antique condition, with a few dents and some rust and pitting, but still very displayable. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description, and be sure to ask any questions. What a charming addition to your cottage Victorian decor!
