VINTAGE "BriteMode" Brocade Petite Clutch

Britemode "petites"was what these beautiful little clutch purses were called, back in the 1930's up to the Mid-Century Era...as designed by Bernard Brightman working in his father's company, Brightman Products Co., Inc., maker and other ladies handbags and accessories. Their 'House of Clutches' was headquartered on Fifth Avenue, New York City, with showrooms in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, and Pittsburgh.

Their Purse & Accessory company stayed in business until the early 1970's when it was sold, and shortly after, Bernie Brightman created 'Stash Records', which began by specializing in non-commercial vintage jazz and blues record labels and slowly evolved into a producer of pretty big-name vocal & musical artists.

Well, even though the company transitioned from beautiful brocade & gold lamé purses into VINYL LP Records, we're fortunate to still be able to find some of these gems, even into the 21st Century.

This PETITE beauty is made of brocade with a floral design on a lovely IVORY-colored background with delicate light pink & blue flowers all outlined in gold lamé. The flapped front is secured by a snap & opens to reveal a shimmery, perfectly fitted lining,with the BRITEMODE in gilt cursive. There is a lipstick pouch to the left side of the purse interior, but no lipstick was found with the bag.

The clutch measures about 7" by 4-3/4" high. The purse is in EXCELLENT Vintage Condition with no Issues I can see to even note!!
