I have had this girl for a while. I bought her from a friend years ago, because I loved her bulging blue eyes and her blue sprigged dress. She has a little history, as the photos show. #50 is written on the tag so she must have been part of someone's inventory. She came from Canada, to my house in Missouri, and now she's leaving Michigan for parts unknown. Life's an adventure.
The tag says she has a repair on her shoulder plate. Since the kid body covers most of the shoulder plate, I can't see it but I assume the tag is correct. Her pantalettes are not original, but her slip and dress are. The hat and doll go with her. The dress is stitched at the neck, and it is fragile in places so I didn't remove it. Kid body is in great shape, with a sticker that says 'washable'. Under her mark, on the back of her head, there is ' made in Germany' stamped very faintly on the edge of the kid body. Just a super little dolly with all the charm in the world.
The tag also says there is a piece of paper in the toe of her shoe that says, '1904'. I did not remove the shoe to see as the lace is tied in a knot. The shoes are not antique but very vintage. Please look carefully at the photos. Ask any questions you need. Thank you for stopping by.
