This little girl is an enigma to me. I looked in the 'Doll Makers and Marks" book but the number '16' in that text referred to an Arranbee mold, and we know she's not that. Simply Sixteen. Sweet Sixteen is more what she is. A little girl--7" tall with stationary brown eyes. I can't undress her. Her clothes are meant to stay on. But her torso seems to be papier mache, along with her arms and legs. Her right ankle was broken--poor baby--and fixed. I love her little red and white striped dress and bonnet. She has gauzy pantalettes. Her wig is strawberry blonde and her head is domed--attached to the body with a wire.
Very sweet little doll. Thank you for stopping in.
