Pristine in her box, her yellow organdy dress and bonnet still crisp as the day it was made, this 15" girl is ready to brighten someone's doll cabinet. Her head, feet and hands are composition painted a healthy skin tone, and her bubbly features are painted. No damage to any of the compo parts. Her body is cloth and is as clean as the day it was made. She has a cryer in her tummy, but it's pooching out a bit. It does not work and something rattles inside.
Her shoes and sock have never been off her feet, nor has her bonnet been off of her head. If one peeks under her strawberry blonde wig--still in its original set--one will find that the doll's head has molded hair as well as the wig. It wasn't uncommon to use one doll for all sorts of dolls. Without the wig, this doll would be a sweet boy, or a baby. Her knees are still blushed. There is slight crazing on the paint surface on the front of her legs, and the photograph shows that. She has a mark on the back of her head, but I can't quite figure it out. Perhaps you can.
She has her original pasteboard box with absolutely no writing on it anywhere. The corners of the box lid have come unglued, but that's easily remedied. It's hard to find dolls of any real age in such good condition.
