A wonderful, antique doll wig in wonderful condition. The human hair has dried with age, but it's still thick and full. There are no bald spots. The cap inside shows glue residue and the buckram is torn in places. The circumference, when measured, is 13". The doll modeling the wig--she's not for sale--has a smaller head, so this wig does look oversized on her. How else to see how a wig looks unless it sits on a doll's head?
The braids are 7" long, approximately, and they're thin. But they look the right scale for a doll's head. The ribbons are not old. Just something I put on when the old elastic gave, so the braids wouldn't come undone. This wig is still perfectly wearable. This would be perfect on a German bisque character doll.
