If I had to wear a summer bonnet because I lived in the 19th century, I would choose this one. It's simple and elegant, and comfortable to wear. This is another one of Cherie Donahue's bonnets--soft straw woven with a simple sweep of white chiffon on the back. I know the bonnet is too big for the doll modeling--she's in another listing--but to see a face under a bonnet helps to see what it looks like on a doll. The brim is wide, the bonnet about 6" tall and 5" wide. The head opening is 4.5"--maybe could go to 5". The bonnet is exquisitely made, the fabric is vintage.
