Cherie Donahue makes the most exquisite accessories for antique dolls. Her bonnets are to die for, and I have a few to sell. (Hope you don't mind, Cher) I'm pretty much into cloth dolls, now, and Cherie's creations belong on bisques or chinas, or even a wonderful papier mache'.
This bonnet, I think, belongs on a fashion doll. I'm using my ABG I have listed--she's not part of this sale--because it's better to see hats and clothes on SOME doll, just to get an idea. I'm from Missouri. I have to be shown--not told.
The bonnet is straw woven with vintage flowers and ribbon--all hand sewn. The interior is done with lace, and it's so pretty on a doll. The materials she chose are wonderful. The dimensions are 5" from front to back--4" from side to side. 2'5" head opening as I think it can sit on a chignon or tilt forward on the brow.
Time for a favorite dolly to get a new chapeau? Here's the one, if she's a fashion. Thank you for checking in.
If I love it, I hope you will too.
