These little dolls were inexpensively made. Every child could have one. This little girl is such a doll, but she doesn't think so. Her startling blue eyes are filled with certainty. She is strung, not wire connected except with her head attachment, and her wig is mohair shaped around her head and glued. Her torso has come apart at her neckline, but is sturdy. Her little face is sweetly painted with a steady hand. Her eyes are stationary. She has a dimple in her chin and a tiny paint blotch on her cheek--call it a mole. It looks like that.
Her pink silk outfit is quite shattered and sewn on. She must have been dressed as a clown, or perhaps it was some whimsical outfit, like a flower. She might have worn a pointed clown hat or a flower hat. I've seen outfits on little girl dolls dressed as flowers. It's hard to determine just what she was dressed as, but her outfit--shattered as it is--is all original, as is her wig. Her head is about 5" around, should you wish to make her a little hat.
Her little shoes and socks are painted on, such as most all these little compo bodies are. The markings on her head are discernible. A symbol over 'Made In Germany' is clear. The numbers are too faint to be read.
