This chubby little man, with his winsome glance, stands a sturdy 6" tall. His knitted one piece suit is vintage and fitted to his body so well I can't remove it without compromising the little tie in front (which I can't get untied.) There are no marks on his head or inside his legs. I saw nothing on his back, of what I could see when I pulled his little romper down as far as I dared. He is beautifully molded and painted, and I love the suggestion of a curl on the top of his head. His eyes are blue with black highlights, his lips just as rosy and sweetly done. He is wire jointed and was made around 1920. I think his painting is too good to place him any later, when bisque dolls were made very poorly.
His head circumference, for those who think he needs a hat, is 5". A handsome little boy for your gaggle of all bisque girls. The chair in the last photo are not part of this sale. The girl doll is sold separately. Please ask any questions. Thank you for stopping by.
