A little about the painter, first: Arthur Willett British lived from 1868 -1951. He was a renowned landscape artist who settled in Brighton, England. His paintings of the British countryside and country pursuits are highly sought after. He exhibited at least 7 times at The Royal Academy.
He died the year I was born. The painting is signed, lower left, and in perfect condition. It has been archivally framed; UV protection glass in front and archival paper backing. I'll let the photographs do the describing for you. But please ask any questions. I will do my best to answer. Forgive the glare. It's so hard to photograph paintings with glass over them, albeit I'm glad there IS glass over it or it wouldn't be in such wonderful condition.
The painting's frame is 19.5" x16". The painting itself--and I can't see if any of it goes beneath the frame--is 12" x 8.5"
Perfect for cottage decor' or traditional European or English decor. Love it! Thank you for stopping by.
If I love it, I hope you will too.
