Many people my age--baby boomers--know Dare Wright's ever-popular story, "The Lonely Doll". Doll collectors know this story as well. The Lonely Doll story was re-copyrighted in 1985 and reprinted after that, due to its popularity. Less seldom found are Miss Wright's other Lonely Doll stories. I have found some rarer books, first editions and not in fine condition, but certainly in acceptable. This is one. The illustrations are delightful Dare Wright photography.
Copyright on this book is 1978, with a summary of the story right with the copyright. So sweet. The book has been read, lovingly. There are no pen or pencil marks, no rips. No dust cover on the book. The hardback cover shows nicks and wear, but the picture of Edith and Midnight on the cover is not marred. Looking at Edith compared to the horse, I realize how big this doll really was. She wasn't an 18 incher, that's for sure.
As always please ask questions. I'm happy to reply. Best wishes, and thanks for stopping in at my shop.
