This looks as if it's never been used. The tag inside says 'made in Indonesia', but there is no maker's tag. The pewter look metal logo on the zipper says Putu Handbags and Accessories by J. McLear, and it looks like a little tree frog. There wasn't much I could find about the maker, other than the owner was/is Jennifer McLear, and she started her handbag business in Bali in the 1990s.
The bag is 10" long by 4" wide and 4" deep. It would carry a cell, sunglasses, a small wallet, and a few other light things, like a scarf and maybe a theater program--something like that. The opening doesn't spread very wide so whatever you carry would have to 'slip' in. I love the brass feet on the bottom. The purse is well made, the weave on the straw (but it's not straw) is intricate and lovely. The handles are a dense plastic made to look like wood. Ask all questions. I'll be happy to answer. Thank you for stopping in at my shop.
