A Grainger Lee & Co. Worcester soup tureen, circa 1825, decorated in a version of the 'Old Indian' pattern within gilt borders and gadroon rims. It has elaborate acanthus molded handles and paw feet. It measures 13" long, 9.5" wide and it stands 11.5" high. It shows Grainger Lee & Co. mark written in blue script with a red pattern no. 391. There is a 4" long crack running down the inside corner which does not reach the top of the piece and is not threatening and there is no other damage. An outstanding piece.
