A spectacular Museum quality genuine early bronze age mirror of shield form, Qijia culture, Gansu region Ancient China 2200BC to 1600BC.
Of beautiful geometry and elegance this mirror was made around 4000 years ago. The surface of the bronze has age commensurate alteration occurring naturally over the four millennia since it's manufacture. The surface alteration is beautiful. To the reverse a loop is present in the center from which to string leather or silk cord so as to hold the mirror.
It measures approximately 4 15/16" in diameter by 3/8" tall (125mm x 125mm x 10mm).
