Santa riding shooting star chocolate mold manufactured by Matfer Bourgeat, Paris, France. This larger 9 3/4" long mold is pictured on page 184 in Wendy Mullen's book "The Comprehensive Guide to Chocolate Molds". Along with the mold picture is also a photo of a colorfully painted paper mache 'Santa riding a shooting star' that was made using the Matfer mold.

The mold we are offering here shows vintage wear with clip marks, age spotting and usage wear but is totally solid and has a nice vintage look. The inside of the mold also has some age spotting but not bad for a mold that appears to have been used quite often. Above the head of the Santa the mold is marked "Made in France". The mold comes with one old bar clip that is adequate for holding the two mold halves together. This Matfer mold does not come along very often and this is a nice one that displays extremely well.
