"Champaign Ice Cream" 17 1/2" x 11 1/2" metal advertising serving tray from the Champaign Ice Cream Company, Champaign, Illinois. This serving tray has a very nice period graphic image of a lady eating Champaign Ice Cream. The tray shows vintage litho wear and aging with scattered small areas of litho loss, light fading, scratching and age spotting on the lady's face and other lighter areas (see photos). The tray has no denting and remains structurally very sound. On display it has a wonderful vintage look. This tray is extremely difficult to find.

The Champaign Ice Cream Company was a regional company headquartered in Champaign, Illinois. The company was established at the turn of the century and flourished throughout North Central Illinois during the 1910's and early 1920's. Advertising memorabilia from this company is very rare.
