Framed large 32" x 29" Pet Milk masonite advertising sign. This sign not only advertises the safety of Pet Milk but also that it was hauled by "Independent Contractors" The sign has paint loss from old flaking but the surface has stabilized and shows little new flaking. It appears from the back of the sign (water marks) that the masonite at one time got wet likely causing the old flaking. There are also areas of damage most notably above the cows left ear but the damage is not all that distracting and the sign remains stable. The colors are quite vivid on this sign showing no signs of fading and the Pet Milk trademarked cow is quite dramatic. This is a much sought after advertising sign that is very difficult to find especially in good presentable condition. The sign has been professionally framed in 3/4" x 2 1/2" (1 x 3) stained rough sawn pine.
Circa: 1930-1950, dimensions including frame are 29 1/2" x 32 1/4".
