We are offering here a 31 1/2" x 21 1/2" x 1 3/4" two-sided wooden trade sign in its original wood frame and bordered with 1/2" round molding. The gold in the lettering on this sign is painted and the red color is a reflective red material that was cut into letters. The third photo we show here was taken with light (simulating car headlights) hitting the sign in the darkness.
The body of the sign is in very good condition. There are signs of aging with small areas of paint loss, more so on the one side, but all in all it is in very nice displayable condition. The lettering is sharp and crisp and shows only the very slightest of fading. The frame itself shows wear and weathering. There is looseness between the frame and main body and the frame itself has some wood deterioration especially at the corners. There are old metal angle strips that at one time were nailed at the corners to help keep the frame secure. We purchased this sign from an antique dealer 35 to 40 years ago and it has been on display in the same protected interior location since then. This is a one-of-a-kind old American two sided wooden roadside sign that is quite impressive when on display.
Because of its size and weight this sign will be shipped U.P.S.
