"OLD ABE" paper labeled 50 count cigar tin out of Factory No. 890, 1st District, State of Pa. For a nearly 100 year old paper label this one remains in good vintage displayable condition. There is water staining on the back and sides, soiling, spotting and a couple of small areas of label loss on one side ( see photos). Most of the original red finish on the tin lid is worn away leaving a worn gold tone finish. There are still remnants of old paper tobacco tax stamps around the edge of the lid and also around the top of the paper label. The label on the front of the tin, with the wonderful Abe Lincoln image, shows light wear and soiling but remains in remarkably good condition. The tin itself remains structurally sound. This is a rare old tobacco tin with lots of character that looks absolutely beautiful when on display.
Circa: early 1900's, dimensions, 5 1/2" tall x 4 3/4" square.
