Embossed porcelain 19 1/2" x  9 3/4" COAL sign.  This old sign shows vintage wear with areas of porcelain loss but retains a great majority of its original porcelain finish.  On the bottom right side of the sign there is a small sliver of the sign either worn or broken away and there is oxidation along this edge.  There is also a small piece of the point missing and oxidation at the bottom right mounting hole (see photos). Both of these areas although damaged remain solid and show no signs of future deterioration.  This is a very rare and beautiful old porcelain sign.  Its bright colors, subject matter and simplicity give it great impact wherever it is displayed.
