I know this is not a shell cameo but I wanted it to be seen with the other cameos.iT IS A VERY HEAVY COPPER AND BRONZE SCENIC PLAQUE OF ROME.There are 7 muses,music,science,medicine,learning,poetry,Athena,Minerva,cherubs,statue with head on the ground maybe David, a farm scene,etc etc.may be signed on the back but no longer readable.There is even a small lizard and grasshopper down at the bottom.IT is heavy.The size is 12 1/2 inches.Slightly out of round. Not sure of age.I would think Victorian. Much nicer in person.Ready to hang with a hanger on the back..
