This is an XXXX RARE CIVIL WAR PERIOD OF A WAX MAN.The mans head is formed of wax.Notice his hair is reddish and on the back is red hair formed in feathers.The cameo flips.Has the c and t pin and a loop for a chain.This is a huge cameo and I believe it is 9 ct gold not marked but tested.The size is 2 1/2 by 3 1/8.Has a very long pin and very heavy lots of gold.I have never seen one like this before.Weight 37.6 grams.From my own collection.He came from the New Orleans area.The wax has a slightly rough edge on it and moves around in the frame.You can take the glass off and secure him if you want.I left him like I bought him.The frame is beautiful with its scallops etc.The hair on the back looks to be on milk glass or mop
