Consider this sweet Rosina yellow with blue and multi-floral interior Bone China Teacup and Saucer for your next tea party. A multicolor floral bouquet the center bottom of the cup and the cup well of the saucer. Centered by a large, pink rose, the flowers, in blues, yellows, pinks, and purples are accented with green leaves. A 1-1/2 inch wide pale yellow rim surrounds the saucer and dominates the inside of the cup. The Avon-shaped cup has a narrow band of gold around the outside, and both the handle and foot are gold trimmed. The smooth rims of both pieces and the center floral design are outlined in gold.
The teacup measures 2-1/4 inches tall, 2-1/2 to the top of the handle, and 3-7/8 inches in diameter across the top with another inch for the handle. It stands on a 1-5/8 inch diameter foot. The matching saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.
The cup is stamped with a faded gold crown backstamp with "Rosina" arched above and "Bone China/Made in England" below. The saucer has the green and pink Crown and Rose backstamp with "Made in England" arched above the crown. “Bone China” flanks the crown and "Rosina" is printed beneath the pink rose. Rosina was a Trade Name of Queen's Pottery, formerly G. Warrilow and Sons, and these marks were used circa 1952+. There are gold artist’s marks on both the cup and the saucer.
There is a tiny glaze pop on the outside of the cup and another on the yellow band of the saucer. There are a handful of porcelain irregularities in the form of tiny bumps. The most noticeable of these is on the rim of the saucer, causing it to feel irregular. There is minor wear on the gold, consistent with use. There are no other condition issues.
