Here is the lovely pale blue Cornflower pattern in a cream and sugar by Foley Bone China of England. The pattern is #2845, Cornflower, and is recognizable by the pretty blue cornflowers and pinks on a pale blue background that ring the rim of both pieces. The flowers are accented with green foliage and small yellow flowers. The inside top of each piece has a pair of matching flowers also in blue and pink.
This pretty creamer measures 2-5/8 inches tall to the top and 2-7/8 inches to the top of the handle. It is 2-7/8 inches wide by 4-3/8 inches across the handle and lip and stands on a 1-3/4 inch foot. The matching open sugar is 2 inches tall and 3-1/2 inches in diameter on a 1-7/8 inch foot.
The backstamp is in tan underglaze and shows the Gryphon over "EB" that splits 1850, followed by "Foley Bone China, Made in England. "Cornflower" is stamped in blue completing the mark on both pieces. This mark was used by Foley China, a division of Elijah Brain & Company, between 1948 and 1963.
There is tiny non-discolored crazing on both pieces. There are also two spots of discoloration on the creamer. One of these blends into the design, but the other is in the blue near the rim and can be seen in the photo. There are no chips or cracks.
