This Royal Albert Château Series Lyons cup and saucer features a grapevine pattern in shades of sage green and white on a wide deep green border. The grapevine is repeated inside the cup as well as in the mark. The rims, the handle of the cup, and the foot are all trimmed in gold. On the Malvern cup shape, the Chateau Series was made by Royal Albert China during the late 1960s and early 1970s. This pretty grapevine pattern was used in different colors on each of the six sets in the series. This green shade is named Lyons.
This Bone China cup measures 3-1/2 inches in diameter and 2-5/8 inches tall, and the saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.
The backstamp reads "Royal Albert Bone China, England, Chateau Series, Lyons," with the matching grapevine above.
There are three small glaze slips along the edge of the saucer that you can see in the photos. There are no other condition issues.
