This sweet Azalea one handled lemon dish was made by Noritake sometime before this version of the pretty Azalea pattern was discontinued around 1918. Noritake Azalea adds such a pretty touch to any table and is so beloved that the pattern has been revived many times. This pattern features two-tone pink azaleas with raised, handpainted highlights, on a background with gold and muted gray-green leaves. There is gold trim around the edge and on the handle.
This one-handle nappy measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter. It is marked in red with the old mark, an arching "Noritake" followed by a floral design and "Azalea Patt. Handpainted Japan No. 19322/252622."
It shows only minimal wear.
