Love the distinctive look of vintage California Pottery in this darling girl in Southwestern dress by Yona Ceramics! This young lady has a large, pink, picture bow tying back her blond hair to match the color in the zigzag pattern around the hem of her wide blue skirt. She wears a southwestern style white, long sleeve blouse and apron, trimmed with blue and pink fringe on the blouse and matching bands on her apron. With a dreamy expression, she holds a large cylindrical vase at her feet.
Made by Yona Ceramics sometime during the late 1940's, this California pottery vase measures 8 inches tall. Her oval skirt is 6-1/4 inches wide, and 6-1/2 inches front to back with the vase she holds. "YONA" is hand painted under the glaze.
This sweet girl has the glaze chipped off on the corners of her bow, and at three places around the edge of her skirt. There is minimal damage to the piece itself, but the white pottery is exposed in these places.
