Wonderful Shell Pink 5-Inch Cornucopia Vase by Jeannette Glass from the 1950s! This pretty glass Cornucopia vase in Jeannette’s opaque Shell Pink color is shaped like an upright horn of plenty. Its vertical ribs converge at the bottom to form a large curled end, which is matched with a smaller curl opposite as though to steady it. The smooth and ruffled top forms an attractive six-petal effect at the rim. Reflecting the Shell Pink name, the oval base is fluted giving a shell-like appearance at the bottom. This looks like a treasure the Little Mermaid would love!
This vase measures 5-inches tall, and the scalloped opening is 3-1/4 inches in diameter. The oval base is 4-1/8 inches by 3-inches. Shell Pink was made by Jeannette in a variety of pieces for only a short time from 1957 to 1959. There is no mark.
Some embedded dirt has lodged in the tighter crevices, particularly around the small curl at the base of the horn. This can likely be cleaned, but I did not want to cause any damage. There are no chips or cracks.
