Stunning Royal Albert Bone China Golden Rose Teacup and Saucer! Finished all in gold, a pair of large roses with appropriate foliage decorates the front of the cup, while a large rose blossom on a stem with leaves adorns the back. A single rosebud with three leaves is on the inside near the top. The matching saucer features the same three designs around the rim. The fluted rims of both pieces are opulently decorated in brushed gold, and the for and handle of the cup are lavishly gold encrusted.
The Montrose shaped cup is 2-3/4 inches tall on a 1-7/8 inch diameter foot. The handle is about another 1/4-inch above the rim. It is 3-7/8 inches in diameter with another inch for the handle. The matching saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter and 1-inch deep.
Made by Royal Albert China in 1964, both pieces are stamped in gold with a crown, followed by the words "Royal Albert" in block letters, "Bone China" in script, and "England" in smaller block letters. The pattern name, “Golden Rose,” finishes the mark.
There is a patina on the gold-encrusted foot and handle, but if there is any wear to this lavish gold pattern, it is truly minimal. The sticker residue on the back of the saucer has been removed. There are no other condition issues.
