It's unusual to find the Hall Aladdin 6-Cup gold-decorated Teapot in pink, let alone with the infuser! This Oval Aladdin teapot has sweeping swag lines and is finished in Hall’s pink glaze with gold lines of decoration. Like the genie’s lamp, the high handle curls inward, and the infuser is included and holds the matching cover in place. The gold lines trim the middle swag, the sides of the handle, the spout, and the flame-like finial on the top. There is a line of gold around the opening at the top, the rim of the cover, and another around the rim of the infuser insert. The close-ups tend to wash out the color, but the pink is consistent over all of the pieces. Hall teapots were known for their patented non-crazing glaze and durability.
This sweet teapot measures 10-1/2 inches across the spout and handle and 4-3/4 inches wide. It is 6-inches tall at the top of the handle, 4-5/8 inches to the opening, and 7-inches with the cover.
Made by Hall during the early 1940's, it is stamped with the blue circle mark with the word "Hall" enclosed and "Made in U.S.A." below. Also, in gold, "HALL, 6 Cup, Made In U.S.A."
There is a 1/4-inch chip on the underside of the pouring spout where it isn’t readily seen. There is some old grime in hard to reach places like the curl of the handle and inside the spout that will need a careful cleaning. There are tea stains, especially inside the strainer/infuser. There is wear on the gold trim consistent with use. This teapot is still charming for display or use.
