One of the Traditional British Songs Series by Royal Albert Bone China is this Land of Hope and Glory Teacup and Saucer. A detailed and pretty scene of Windsor Castle in realistic colors, ringed by pink roses, yellow daffodils, and purple thistles, is depicted on this Countess-shaped teacup and saucer. Each flower garland is backed with greenery in realistic detail. Matching floral arrangements are on the back of the cup and inside of the rim. The scalloped rims, as well as the foot and handle of the cup, are all trimmed in gold.
The footed teacup is 3-1/4 inches in diameter, 4 with the handle, and 2-3/4 inches tall. The saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.
Issued for the Series during the 1960s to 1970s, the back stamp is a black crown, followed by the words "Royal Albert" in block letters, "Bone China" in script, and "England" in smaller block letters. “Traditional British Songs Series of Six” is stamped in green beneath the word England. The mark is completed with the name of the pattern/song “Land of Hope and Glory” in pink.
There is a small blue spot on the backside of the saucer that seems to be under the glaze. There are also some minor surface scratches on the cup well of the saucer. There are no other condition issues.
