This lovely black Floral Chintz Teacup and Saucer is by Royal Standard Bone China, pattern number 1810. The all-over multi-color floral chintz is so striking on its black background. In shades of spring green, buttery yellow, carnation pink, and baby blue, a variety of flowers such as daffodils, roses, and bluebells carpet the black ground. The scalloped rims, foot, and handle are all trimmed in gold.
The dainty cup is 3-inches tall, 3-3/8 at the top of the handle. It is 3-3/8 inch diameter at the fluted rim perched on a 1-7/8 inch diameter scalloped foot. The matching saucer is 5-7/8 inches in diameter.
The underglaze backstamp is a green crown followed by the words "Royal Standard Fine Bone China England.” The cup is also stamped with the pattern number, 1810 P, in black.
This lovely cup and saucer set was made by Royal Standard circa 1950 to 1960s.
Other than expected shelf wear on the underside of the foot, there are no condition issues.
