The pretty ballerina in Hocking Cameo is one of the sweetest Depression Glass motifs, offered here in this Yellow Creamer. Cameo, nicknamed "Ballerina," features mould-etched, dancing ballerina cameos connected with floral drapes and tassels that encircle the creamer. The foot of the creamer has a pressed sunburst design.
This darling creamer measures 3-1/2 inches tall and 3-1/8 inches in diameter at the rim. It stands on a 2-3/8 inch circular foot. The creamer measures 4-1/2 inches across the handle and spout.
Cameo was made by Hocking Glass from 1930 to 1934, before the company became Anchor Hocking in 1937. The creamer is not marked.
With a magnifying glass, you can see several tiny little nicks, commonly called fleabites, along the top edge. These are likely a result of stacking, can barely be felt, and do not detract from the beauty of this little creamer. There is no other damage to this lovely vintage piece.
