Here is the Hull Crestone handled Covered French Casserole in the difficult to find scrumptious turquoise color! This beautiful color of the Crestone line is a solid high gloss turquoise with a white drip sea-foam edge. The white edging encircles the wide, circular finial on the top, covers the handle, and flows right around the rim of the casserole including the pouring spout. The foot and the inside ring of the casserole lid that fits down into the bowl are the only unglazed parts of each casserole.
Each individual covered dish measures 6-1/4 inches in diameter and 8-inches long including the handle. It is 2-3/8 inches tall, 3-3/4 inches with the cover. The cover is 4-7/8 inches in diameter.
It is marked with the impressed words "hull u.s.a./Crestone/©/Oven-Proof." Crestone was made in this color by Hull for only a short time from 1965 to 1967, making it hard to find this color today!
Two sets of casserole and cover show no condition issues other than a few negligible random glaze slips, pops, or shelf wear. These two sets will be the first to ship, of course. Of the other three sets, the underside of two of the covers each has a shallow edge chip on the unglazed ring that is hidden when the lid is on. The underside of the third cover has a 1/2-inch long shallow edge chip that does show from the outside when the cover is on. You can see this in the photos. These covers will be the last three sold, so you can be assured that your purchase will have no chips.
