This distinctive Mid-Century amber colored vase by Rainbow Glass has an applied twisted rigaree collar. The slightly bulbous vase reflects the light through its paneled optic design in the bottom. The vase has a subtly ruffled and pinched rim forming a triangular top. An applied glass rigaree collar encircles the neck.
The honey colored vase measures 5-1/2 inches tall and 3-1/4 inches in diameter at its widest and about 2-1/4 inches across the top.
Rainbow produced glass from 1954 to 1973. The company became affiliated with Viking Glass in the mid-1960s. This hand blown vase was likely made during the 1960s.
The vase still has the silver foil label with black lettering that reads "Hand Blown by Rainbow, Huntington, W. Va. U.S.A." It has a rough pontil mark.
There is a small bead of extra glass along the rim that feels slightly sharp. This was done in the manufacturing process and is not a chip. There are no other condition issues.
