Here is a sparkling set of Pink Depression Glass Salt and Pepper Shakers in the Tea Room pattern made by Indiana Glass. Tea Room is a gorgeous geometric Deco pattern of graduated horizontal ribs on wide panels. Each rib forms a little ledge on the tapered sides of this pattern. These tapered shakers stand on a six-sided foot. All of these angles and ridges cause the light to reflect and bounce beautifully.
Each glass shaker measures 4-1/4 inches tall and 1-1/2 inches in diameter, 1-3/4 inches across the foot.
Tea Room was made by Indiana Glass between 1926 and 1931. There is no mark.
The original tops are torn, dented, tarnished and rusted. One of the top corners on one shaker feels slightly rough, but you need a magnifying glass to see the tiny nick that is there. The other shaker has two of these tiny "fleabites" along the top edge, also visible with a magnifying glass. There are tiny factory bubbles in the glass, but there is no other damage to these scarce salt and pepper shakers.
