This Patrician or "Spoke" Depression Glass 9-inch Luncheon Plate by Federal is hard to find in pink! Patrician has an in-mold pattern that resembles the spokes of a wheel, from which it derives its nickname. The wide rim is slightly scalloped, echoing the spoke pattern, with an intricate geometric pattern. Patrician is easily found in amber, but the pink is far more difficult to find.
This luncheon plate measures 9-1/4 inches in diameter.
The Patrician pattern was made by Federal from 1933 to 1937. It is not marked.
As is common in vintage glassware, there are expected surface scratches. The worst of these is 2-inches long and deep enough to catch a fingernail. There is also about 3/4-inch of inner rim roughness, also common and usually caused by stacking. There are no other condition issues.
