This bright orange Art Deco Footed Candy Dish with the Black Rim by McKee Glass is just perfect for Halloween! As shown in Great American Glass of the Roaring 20s & Depression Era by Measell and Wiggins, this is the McKee No. 4 footed candy dish with a rolled edge, made circe the 1920s and 30s. In classic Art Deco style, the cone shaped candy is decorated with orange fired on the reverse side and a 1/2 inch band of black on the underside of the rolled rim. This reverse technique creates a shiny interior with the outside of the piece having a satin matte finish.
This glass candy measures 4-1/4 tall and 5-3/4 inches in diameter at the rim with a 3-3/8 inch foot.
There are a few small places on the underside of the rim where the black has flaked off. There is also a narrow white streak like paint on the foot and another white spot on the underside of the rim.
