This Tuscan Bone China Teacup and Saucer is a romantic design featuring a light blue scalloped rim adorned with five pink Rose Medallions of a creamy yellow spaced around the rim. A ring of roses outlines the cup ring, and a quintet of smaller medallions are clustered in the center of the saucer. Intricate brown scrolls and swags accent the rim, and gold trim is applied to the scalloped rims and the cup handle and foot. A ring of gold encircles the outside of the cup.
The backstamp is the green underglaze winged crown with the words "Tuscan Fine English Bone China" and "Made in England." There is also a gold artist's mark, and the saucer has the pattern number "18401" hand painted in gold.
Made by Tuscan China between 1947 and 1970 the delicate blue rimmed cup measures 3-3/4 inches in diameter and 2-1/8 inches tall. The saucer is 5-1/2 inches in diameter.
There is some non-discolored crazing and some minor wear on the gold, but no other condition issues.
