Called Bracelet for the 1/2-inch wide gold-encrusted textured band around the inner rim of both the cup and the saucer, this pattern by Syracuse China is fine quality elegance at its best. Offered as a set of two cups and saucers, the gold has a floral and dots design, and additional narrow gold bands ring the lower edge and the foot of the cup, and the cup-well of the saucer. The ground is the color of smooth, rich cream, and the fancy handle is also gold-trimmed.
Each footed cup measures 2-3/8 inches high and 3-3/4 inches in diameter across the slightly flared rim, with another inch for the handle. The cup stands on a 2-inch diameter foot. The matching saucer is 5-5/8 inches in diameter.
Bracelet was made by Syracuse China from about 1949 until 1970. The pattern name, Bracelet, is stamped above an underglaze Green banner that reads "Old Ivory, Syracuse China” O.P.C.O. Made in America," with four stars is below the banner.
There is a pinhead-sized nick on the top edge of the foot of one cup. The gold has the lovely patina of age, and utensil marks are minimal if any. There is no other damage. You will receive both sets.
