The pretty Floral or Poinsettia pattern Pink Depression Glass Covered Candy Jar by Jeannette is becoming increasingly hard to find! Nicknamed "Poinsettia" for its resemblance to that flower, the mold is an all-over pattern of star-shaped flowers with pointed petals and long, pointed leaves. The pattern wraps around the paneled jar and is repeated on the cover.
This pretty candy dish measures 6-1/2 inches tall, 4-3/8 without the cover, and 3-1/2 inches in diameter. It is perched on a paneled plain 2-7/8 inch foot.
Floral was made by Jeannette from 1931 to 1935. There is no mark.
There is an almost imperceptible rough spot on the cover on the inside edge of the ridge that fits down inside the jar where it does not detract in any way. Other than the expected flaws characteristic of Depression Era Glass, such as bubbles, mold seam roughness, or other irregularities, there is no other damage.
