For the thimble collector, here is a Coalport Bone China Thimble in the pattern called Chintz Rose thimble in its original box! A pretty pink rosebud peeks out from gold sepals perched on a stem with leaves all in the same gold on the front of the domed thimble. The back of the thimble has a matching stem of gold leaves. The top of the bone china thimble is dimpled in a pattern of concentric rings. The pretty little thimble is nestled into a layer of velveteen covered foam, all tucked into a round, dark blue box. The lid is clear plastic with the word “Coalport” and a crown in gold.
This thimble measures just over 1-inch tall and 7/8-inches in diameter at the opening. The box is 1-1/2 inches tall and 2-1/8 inches in diameter.
The thimble is stamped with the Coalport Blue crown ®, flanked by "Bone Chine, COALPORT, Made in England, Est. 1750."
These Bone China thimbles were made by Coalport circa the 1980s and 1990s.
The clear top of the box has sticker residue. There are no other condition issues.
