Magnificent 22K Gold Culver Glass is offered here in a Commemorative of Hollywood, California and the Chinese Theatre Highball Tumbler. Pictures just can't capture the vibrant beauty of the rich braided bands of 22-Karat gold that frame the gold Hollywood design on one side of the tumbler and the depiction of the Chinese Theatre on the back. One look and it is easy to see why ornately decorated glassware by Culver has become some of the most sought-after Mid Century barware. Each band is an excellent example of Culver's secret process for layering gold upon gold in distinctive textures creating a graceful geometric design that is classic Culver. The front and back of the tumbler are frosted, with scenes of Hollywood and the Chinese Theatre intricately done in gold. The balance of the glass has a textured ripple effect, also distinctively recognizable as Culver. This tumbler is a true Hollywood Regency piece!
This highball tumbler measures 5-1/2 inches tall and 2-3/4 inches in diameter.
Though it is not marked, this series is one of a series that was made by Culver commemorating places and landmarks circa the 1960s.
Other than very minor wear on the gold, if any, there are no condition issues.
