The scalloped rim of this pink Bone China Luncheon plate by Tuscan, England, features a motif of deep pink roses. The left and right of the plate each have a spray of two fully open roses, with a nearly open blossom and a tight bud on a waving stem above them. A single blossom and bud adorn the top and bottom of the plate. Each of the four rose sprays is accented with dusky greenery.
This pretty plate measures 8-1/8 inches in diameter.
The back stamp is a green underglaze winged crown with the words "Tuscan Fine English Bone China" and "Made in England." There is also a green artist's mark. This mark was used by Tuscan China from 1947 to 1967, when Tuscan became part of the Wedgwood Group and the name was changed to Royal Tuscan.
There is wear on the gold trim, and a 1-inch scrape on the back, but there are no chips or cracks.
