This Lancaster Sunshine 12-Inch Flat Rim Depression Glass Console Bowl is in gorgeous Frosted Green Satin. The Sunshine pattern, #734, has an optic made up of intersecting lines that crisscross each other at angles creating a mesmerizing effect. The wide, flat-rimmed sides of this octagon shaped bowl are finished in a delicious frosted mint green, and the bottom of the bowl is patterned like the cane seat of a chair. This color is much bluer than the typical green of depression glass, and Sunshine is becoming increasingly difficult to find in this cool satin mint color.
This large, low bowl measures 12-5/8 inches corner to corner, 11-5/8 inches side to side, and 1-3/4 inches deep.
Made by Lancaster Glass circa 1932, there is no mark.
There are two deep scratches, one is 1/2-inch long and the other is 3/4-inches long, about 1-1/2 inches up from the bottom of the bowl. There is also a 2-mm nick on the underside of the corner directly above the scratch on the left in the photos. Fortunately, the pattern of intersecting lines in the mold disguises the two scratches and the tiny nick is barely noticeable.
